Philip King
Phil has 12 years’ experience in Shared Services in industry and consulting and is Head of the Shared Services Solution for Atos Origin. A former Finance Director and FCMA, Phil has deep knowledge of what it takes to make Shared Services a success and his recommendations and skills in implementation have driven successful SSCs for our clients across Europe and globally. Working in close partnership with clients such as Reuters, Phil has also acted as interim Director for new SSCs to ensure their smooth introduction and operations, including experience in Amsterdam and Budapest. Recently he has been involved in evaluation of SSC options for clients including comparisons of outsourcing and offshoring.

The Atos Origin shared services team have all been recruited with experience in delivering shared services in industry. Each Consultant works as a mentor to project groups as well as seamlessly integrating with client teams.

Philip King

Micha Veen

Micha has international experience within the Shared Services industry and consulting. He has been responsible for Finance Transformation and Shared Services propositions & execution aligned with World Class Finance engagements across Europe, US and South-East Asia. Through hands-on and consulting experience in the design, transformation and optimisation of Shared Services, he has provided cost reductions and increased organisational effectiveness. Within these organisations he has provided focus on the relevant process streams, whereby further efficiency could be achieved through BPO engagements. Additional knowledge of existing ERP, BPMS and SaaS technologies has provided him with expert knowledge of the restrictions and opportunities to continuously increase organisational efficiency. Involvement in white papers, leading-edge propositions and articles on Shared Services has led to him being a well regarded expert on Shared Services and Finance Strategies.

Sheila Baddeley

With over 25 years’ experience in Finance process re-engineering in the world’s largest chemical company, Dow Chemicals, Sheila joined the Atos Consulting team and has worked with clients such as Astra Zeneca, DSGi plc, BP, and Kimberly Clark on Finance transformation, process improvement and automation and Shared Service assignments, including related ERP implementations. Sheila leads projects and offers skills such as programme management, optimisation of SSCs, design and deployment of pan-European SSCs and improving Management Reporting. She works pragmatically with our clients, is down to earth and gets things done. Sheila is an active member of our Shared Service team and has a wealth of experience, including extensive work at the sharp end of knowledge transfer, work-shadowing and transition management. She works across all processes, but if you asked her for an area of specific expertise, she would say the financial end of order-to-cash – billing, cash management and treasury processes.

Wilco Bothof

Wilco is the end responsible partner for the Solution Shared Service Centres (SSC) for Atos Consulting Netherlands. He is one of the authors of a recently published book with the title ‘customer and SSC: only better together’.
He is partner within the Line of Business Public Services and mainly active in the sector Public Order and Safety and Health Care. He is end responsible for the solution ‘effective back office processes’, with stands for the integral performance improvement of all back office processes, as well regarding (SSC) organisation, work processes and ICT support.
He carried out SSC projects within the Dutch Police, within the SSC loyalty for Dutch retailers (Loyalty Management Netherlands, Airmiles program), the ‘foreigner/asylum chain’ of organisations and the Ministry of Justice

Onno Ghijsen Cohen

Onno has over 7 years of experience in Finance SSC assignments, varying from feasibility studies to implementations and optimizations of existing SSCs, both pan-European and national. He is one of the authors of a recently published book with the title ‘customer and SSC: only better together’.

With his pragmatic approach and hands-on mentality, Onno has assisted various clients in implementing and optimizing SSCs, thereby always focusing on ways to optimize the added value of the SSC for the organization.

Onno has written several articles on the subjects of Shared Services and BPO and is a regular presenter on seminars on the subject of SSC.

Pauline Leong

Following 12 years in Financial Management and Accounting roles in industry, Pauline joined the Atos Consulting team and has worked with clients including Unilever, the BBC, Nestlé Purina, Johnson Controls Inc, Hasbros, AstraZeneca, and McAlpine Business Services on Shared Services engagements. Leading projects in strategy review, programme management and improvement programmes, as well as managing the design and deployment of pan-European SSCs, Pauline’s experience and reputation are exceptional.

Ian Malcolm

Ian is a leading expert in the field of benchmarking; it was the transfer of the benchmarking database and clients from Score Research, a business he founded and built, that brought him to Atos Consulting in February 2006. He has worked with many leading organisations such as Siemens, Corus, Borealis, Cemex, Coca-Cola, Rolls-Royce, Shell and BP; baselining and developing their strategic change programmes. He has made a significant contribution to knowledge sharing focused on best practices and organisation models and has had several published articles. Ian’s early career includes several senior financial management positions with companies such as The National Grid, Tyco and IMI.

Scott McArthur

An HR and change consultant, leadership trainer and coach. Scott has 10 years experience in industry at Board and Management Team level (British Gas, Fishers and S&N), followed by 3 years as a management consultant, development specialist and HR Shared Services change specialist with Atos Consulting.

Scott has specific expertise in HR, Change Management, Organisational Psychology, Rich Media and Learning and Development and is solution lead for the "Atos Academy". The academy is one of Atos's "killer propositions". His clients have included MOD, M&S, Swiss Re, Sainsbury’s and OGC.

In the media, Scott frequently contributes articles, comments and letters to leading magazines and newspapers and has been quoted in The Times, Financial Times, Personnel Today, Success Magazine and People Management. Scott is a resident book reviewer for Personnel Today and Executive Editor and Chair of the Learning and Development forum on Change Board. Scott also writes a well known HR/Change blog which attracts worldwide readership

René Vergoosen

René has multiple years of international experience in finance consulting, with a strong focus on Finance Transformation, finance optimization and Shared Services. Besides these core expertises he is known for his expertise in the fields of benchmarking, assessment of the finance function, finance process optimization and enterprise risk management. René has broad and hands-on experience in design, implementation and execution of finance projects throughout Europe and Asia (China). Recent projects include assessment of the finance function of a large international automotive company and finance transformation of a large international chemicals company located in China. René always has shown a strong focus on quality and timing of projects and project deliverables. Furthermore, René can be characterised as a highly motivated team player with a hands-on mentality. Involvement in writing a book on shared services and finance articles are shaping him more and more in being a finance and shared services expert.
